Released 12.30.2024

đź“‘ Updates to Slack /recap

Sharing Recaps

We added the Share button to the recap message. This button will now allow the user to publish the recap in the channel as a message that is visible to all channel members. In the message, it will be mentioned who shared it.

Recapping Threads

You can now generate a recap of threads by copying the link of the first message within the thread and using the command /recap [link].

Please note:

  • You can only paste links from the channel you are currently in.

  • If the link points to a message with no replies, the recap will summarize that single message.

  • You can refine and improve the summary response by adding relevant modifiers like /recap <link> detailed and long, in bullets . See more modifiers.

/recap help

You can now type /recap help into your Slack channel and hit enter to get guidance on how to use the command.

🍀 Slack Bot Activation

In this release, we updated the default selection for bot activation from Work Related to Explicitly Mentioned when you first invite the bot to the channel. This change simplifies using /recap across your channels without requiring Slackbot setup or bot interaction when not required.

👯‍♂️ Display Related Articles

To minimize noise from the related articles displayed by the bot when answering your questions, we’ve added a Related Articles toggle in the assistant. This feature is enabled by default and displays up to 5 related articles. If enabled, you can customize the number of articles shown, up to a maximum of 5. This is available for the Slack and Teams bot.

đź“‘ Inline References

Unleash answers in Slack and Teams now include inline references, providing clear citations that link directly to the original source of the information. This enhancement makes verifying answers and accessing the full context easier.

🤖 General Assistant - LLM Only

You can now select the tone for a general assistant using an LLM-based knowledge base, from a dropdown menu in the standard settings. The available options are Neutral, Assertive, and Confident, with Neutral set as the default.

Tone options:

Neutral: This is the default tone. It mirrors the language style documented in your resources and provides a balanced and professional response.
Assertive: This tone is direct and clear, communicating the necessary information with authority. It is used when conveying a strong stance.
Confident: This tone is positive and assured, instilling confidence in the customer. It is used when reassuring the customer or demonstrating expertise.

🔬Searching Unleash

You can now select Unleash as an app filter when searching, allowing you to narrow your results to only the knowledge stored within your Unleash Wikis. This makes it easier to find the exact information you need, faster.

🚀Assistant Knowledge Selection Updates

Note: These changes are across all the assistants in Unleash.

Sources

We’ve simplified how you select knowledge sources for Assistants by unifying Unleash knowledge and external app knowledge into a single, intuitive section called Sources. Within Sources, Unleash is now treated as an app (and its resources are limited to wikis), similar to how you previously selected other apps as knowledge sources. This allows you to choose the specific Unleash knowledge you want your Assistant to use for delivering precise, relevant answers tailored to your needs. The default wiki created during the Assistant’s setup is still automatically selected as a knowledge source, giving you a head start with minimal effort.

Filtering

We’ve enhanced the process of selecting filters to make it more flexible and customizable. Previously, selecting an app would automatically pre-select a type, after which you could choose additional filters. Now, the process has been updated:

  • First, select an app.

  • Then, choose from any filters listed under + More Filters to refine your selection.

  • As you apply filters, the system dynamically updates the available options, ensuring that new filters remain within the scope of your current selection.

  • If you select a specific resource, no additional filters will be available, as the specific resource selection already provides a targeted result.

This update gives you greater flexibility in tailoring filters to suit your needs.

Filter Indications

  • You can now add links that are still syncing to Unleash as knowledge sources for the Assistant. These links will be displayed with a syncing icon to indicate that the process is ongoing.

  • If the selected link fails to sync, an indication will appear below the app, prompting you to try reconnecting the link on the Unleash app connection page.

  • When a link is selected within 24 hours of its initial connection, the following message informs you that full AI functionality will be available within 24 hours of the connection time.

Modjo Integration

You can now integrate Modjo to search within call recordings with Unleash. The integration requires an API Token from Modjo.
