## 🔩Updates to Settings Page

To make navigation more intuitive and improve overall usability, we’ve reorganized and streamlined the Unleash settings page. These updates make it easier to configure your workspace, manage security, and customize Unleash to fit your needs.

- **Settings** has been renamed to **Admin Center**, providing a clearer structure for managing Unleash.
- The **Assistants, Analytics, and Apps** pages are now under **Admin Center**, so all key administrative functions are in one place.
- Some pages have been merged to reduce redundancy, while new pages have been introduced to enhance functionality.
- The **General** and **Preferences** pages are now combined into **My Profile** for a more streamlined experience.

### **My Profile**

A simplified way for admins to manage Unleash behavior for your team:

- View and edit your profile in one centralized location.
- Easily customize **Unleash Quick Search** and desktop behavior. This behavior will reflect across your entire teams workspace.
- Delete your account if needed.

👉 **Why?** These changes make it easier to personalize the Unleash user exeperience, ensuring a smoother user experience.

### **Workspace**

The **Workspace** page is now divided into two clear sections to improve discoverability:

- **Information**: Quickly update your **workspace name, icon**, and access your **Workspace ID**.
- **Appearance**: Easily customize your **homepage banner and workspace colors** to align with your company’s branding.

👉 **Why?** By separating workspace settings, we’ve made it easier to find and update essential workspace details.

### **Search**

- Upload a **synonym file** to refine search results and make finding information more intuitive.
- Configure your **HRIS system** to appear in search results, ensuring employees can easily find relevant HR data.

👉 **Why?** These enhancements improve search accuracy, making it easier to locate the right information faster.

### **Sources**

- The **Connected Apps** page is now called **Sources** and has moved under **Admin Center**.
- It is now split into **All Apps** and **Your Connected Apps** to provide a clearer view of available and active integrations.

👉 **Why?** This new structure improves visibility and control over integrations, making it easier to manage connected tools.

### **Unleash AI, Assistants & Analytics**

- **Unleash AI, Assistants** and **Analytics** have been moved under **Admin Center** to improve organization and accessibility.

👉 **Why?** Keeping all admin-related tools together simplifies navigation and improves efficiency.

### **API Keys**

- View and manage **API keys** directly in **Admin Center**.
- Easily create **new API keys** for secure authentication.

👉 **Why?** A dedicated page for API management provides better security and control over integrations.

### **Security Enhancements**

### **Users**

- Manage your team more efficiently by viewing **connected apps and access levels** in one place.
- Invite new members directly from the **Members tab**.

👉 **Why?** These changes improve transparency and make team management more efficient.

### **Permissions**

- Restrict access to apps to control which apps are available in your workspace to **enhance security**.

👉 **Why?** This helps prevent unauthorized data access and ensures compliance with security policies.

### **Add-Ons & Experiences**

### **Experiences**

- Access **Unleash add-ons**, such as the **desktop app, browser extension, and Slack bot**.
- Once the **Slack bot** is connected, you’ll see a dedicated **Slack settings page** where you can configure the **channel assistant** for different workspaces.

👉 **Why?** These enhancements improve flexibility and make it easier to integrate Unleash with your existing workflows.

## 🔛 Updates to Connecting Sources

We've introduced a new setting that gives admins even greater control over app connections in Unleash.

Previously, admins could restrict which apps workspace members could connect. Now, by default, members will no longer be able to connect apps unless explicitly allowed.

Here’s what’s new:

- A new toggle under **Admin Center → Security → Permissions** lets admins enable app connections.
- When turned on, admins must select which apps are allowed. If no apps are selected, app connections remain disabled—just like when the toggle is off.

For existing Workpsaces, the settings you have in place will not change.

This update enhances security and ensures admins have full control over workspace integrations. 🚀

## ❓Changes to /ask functionality

We’ve refined how the `/ask` command works in different Slack environments to ensure a smoother and more personal experience. **When you ask questions in channels the answer is now only visible to you and is not shared with other members of the channel.**

**When you use**`/ask`**in a channel where the bot is invited:**

**If expert validation is enabled for the channel:**

- The answer will be sent to an expert and once **approved by an expert** will be displayed only as **“visible to you”**. This means that no one else in the channel will see the question you asked or the answer you received.

**When you use**`/ask`**in a channel where the bot is *not* invited:**

- The answer **does not go through expert validation**.
- The **“Looking for an answer”** message is **visible only to you** and the answer returned is visible to you only.
- **This behavior also applies to DMs.**

**When a user runs**`/ask`**in a private conversation with the Unleash bot:**

- The bot behaves like a **regular conversation**, responding directly to the user.

If the user is online in Slack, the answer will be sent in the same conversation. If they're offline, it will be delivered via a direct message from the bot.

This update makes `/ask` more efficient and user-friendly while ensuring expert validation is applied only where needed.

## ✅ Updates to Slack Expert Validation Indications

A new **"Expert Validation"**section has been added to the Slack Assistant page. Like before, this feature is **off by default**, but assistant owners can enable it and assign experts from the channel’s members. When toggled on, at least one expert must be selected to validate answers.

**New Configuration Options:**

- Choose whether to display the **"Answer awaiting expert approval"** message in the thread.
- Enable or disable **expert emoji reactions** after approving or discarding an answer.

**We've updated the approval process:**In channels with an expert, the answer—along with any related articles or questions (if available)—will now be published together after the expert’s approval. Previously, related content was sent directly to the user without expert review.

Experts will receive the answer for approval via a direct message from the bot. Unlike before, the confirmation answer will no longer be sent in both the thread and the direct message—only the DM will include the approval request.

This update gives assistant owners more flexibility in managing expert-reviewed answers. 🚀
