Before getting started in Google, complete the following steps in Unleash to ensure you have access to the information you need:

  • Navigate to the Control Center in Unleash and click on the Sign-In page.

  • Under SSO, click Configure.

  • Select SAML as the authentication method.

  • Choose Google as your identity provider.

After SAML is configured, users will no longer be able to sign in using your existing SSO Identity Provider (such as “Sign in with Google”). All authentication will be routed exclusively through Google SAML, and alternate SSO methods will be disabled.

Once you've completed these steps, open your Google account and follow the instructions below.

Step 1: Creating an App

Step 2: General Settings

  • Name your app Unleash.

  • Download the image below and upload it as the app icon.

  • Click Continue.

Step 3: SAML Settings

  • Click Download Metadata.

  • Paste the content of  the metadata into the medata data field in the Google SAML configuration page in Unleash.

  • Click Continue.

  • Paste the SSO URL found in the  SAML configuration page in Unleash into the ACS URL field.

  • Enter unleash-tech as the Entity ID.

  • Click Continue.

  • Fill in the following attributes mapping as so:

    First name

    firstName

    Last name

    lastName

    Primary email

    email

  • Click Finish.

Step 4: Finish

Your app should be successfully created. Now, you need to allow it for all of your organization.

  • Click on User access.

  • Click ON for everyone.

  • Click Save.
