### **User Authentication Setup**

Unleash supports multiple authentication methods, allowing admins to configure login options to suit your organization’s security needs best. By default, authentication is enabled via:

- **SSO Providers:** Google, Microsoft, Slack
- **Email Authentication:** Magic link

Admins can modify these settings or switch to **SAML authentication**, which supports identity providers like **Okta, Azure, and Google**.

**How to Modify SSO Settings**

- Navigate to **Control Center**.
- Under the **Security** tab, click **Sign In**.
- In the **User Authentication Setup** section, click **Configure**.
- Choose between **SSO Identity Provider** or **SAML**.

**If configuring an SSO provider:**

- Select or deselect the SSO providers (**Google, Microsoft, Slack**) as needed.
- At least one provider must be selected.

**If configuring a SAML provider:**

- Select the identity provider (**Okta, Azure, or Google**).
  - Enter the required details:
    - **SSO URL**
    - **Entity ID**
    - **Unleash logo** (available for download)
    - **Metadata file content** (refer to our guide for instructions).
- Click **Save**.

> [!NOTE]
> Disabling user access in your Identity Provider will prevent login to the web portal but in cases where you engage with Unleash via other interfaces like Slack/Zendesk, a user record will automatically be recreated for tracking purposes. However, your login to the portal will still be prevented.

### Email Authentication (Magic Link)

You can enable or disable **email authentication** via a magic link. If enabled, users receive an email with a **magic link** to securely sign in to their account.

### **Session Duration**

Set an expiration period for user sessions to enhance security. This is a global setting enforcing it for all users. Select from:

- **Never expires**(default)
- **90 days**
- **60 days**
- **30 days**
- **1 week**
- **15 minutes**

### **Invite Users**

**Invitation permissions**

Decide who can invite guests to the workspace.

- **No one**
- **Everyone**
- **Only admins** (default)

**Restrict invitations to workspace domain addresses only**

Toggle this setting on/off to allow or restrict invitations to email addresses within the workspace domain only.

### **Claim Domain**

The domains configured during your Unleash setup with your Unleash representative are displayed here. Verified domains linked to your workspace allow users with an email address matching any listed domain to be automatically added to your workspace upon login.
